His jokes have a tendency to be very crude

He tries to maintain good self-confidence, but people think it comes off as cockiness

Is a bit closed minded

His secret; When I was younger, my uncle used to beat me and blame me for my parents asking him to leave the house. He would hit me and make my pay for all the alcohol he bought. After I got the role of Cato in The Hunger Games it’s stopped a bit, but I’m scared if I don’t get another role…the abuse will start again.

On bulking up to play Cato in The Hunger Games: “I gained almost 40 pounds of muscle for this role. I’m currently working on getting back to how I was before Cato. As an actor, I feel that it’s important to make a physical commitment to create a character and it’s also important for me to return to my normal self.”
